Is Your Chalet Ready For Winter?

The snow and cold have arrived here in South Georgian Bay and along with them, chances are we’ll see a few incidents of frozen pipes over the next few months.  There are several steps you should take to prepare your secondary home for the season that can help cut costs and can protect you from damage.  Please don’t assume your heat will stay on as power failures or equipment malfunctions are common. 

Here is an article from the Ask The Builder  series that has some good reminders.  Above all, please remember to drain your water lines inside and out.  Regrettably, we know from personal experience in our own home what can happen if you don’t.
