Blue Ice Phenomenon in Meaford
For the first time anyone can recall, an interesting phenomenon occurred in Meaford this month and it really is something special to see. Over the course of a couple of days, the ice, broken off from the eastern shoreline of Lake Huron, just kept coming south and the floe kept growing right at the beach in Meaford.
The ice glows an iridescent blue from the inside and almost appears as if lights were shining up from below.
