In the final presentation of the local, “No Place Like Home” Speaker Series last fall, fellow REALTOR® and now Town Councillor, Keith Hull, wraps up the discussion about affordable or, inclusionary housing in Collingwood and beyond.

In this video, he explains what a war-time home is such as those in Collingwood’s Victory Village and then leads into a discussion about national housing strategies, provincial legislation  and funding programs available for property owners such as CMHC’s Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program. Keith looks at the remarkable revitalization of Regent Park in Toronto as an example of how sustainable communities can be built.  He looks at the failures that exist in some of our social and judicial systems.  Keith recaps efforts in recent years to address the issue of inclusionary and affordable housing in Collingwood.  This video is well worth 25 minutes of your time.
