Another Great Collingwood Restaurant – The Hungry Sumo
Many people say that Collingwood has the best Indian food north of Toronto and now the same could certainly be said for Japanese.
The Hungry Sumo opened in July and let me tell you, the food is fabulous and beautifully presented. They have an extensive menu and the prices are very reasonable. Lunch offers popular Bento Box combinations as well as a large range of different types of sushi.
I don’t know what I like best… the tempura shrimp is addictive and the teriyaki chicken divine. I can’t resist trying a different sushi roll on each visit and each one becomes my new favourite. You’ve just got to try it in person or you can order take-out.
The Hungry Sumo is located at 188 First Street which is the former home of the First Street Bistro and is located opposite the Beaver and Bulldog at the corner of Beech St with ample parking onsite.
