New Home Décor Store In Collingwood

There’s a new décor store in town that is getting a lot of buzz and seems to be off to a successful start.

Located in the Balsam Street plaza near Too Good To Be Through, Home Decor and More was started by former nurse, Rhonda Kirk in Owen Sound. Rhonda started by buying small quantities of bulk products from Wayfair and selling them to friends.  As demand grew, so did Rhonda’s purchases until she finally started the business full-time and with a larger scale. They’ve had significant success and have now expanded to their second location here in Collingwood with one planned to open in Alliston in mid June.

Home Décor and More now purchases large, discount lots from Wayfair and then sells them at significant discounts over what you find on the website.  They are currently purchasing a 54 foot truckload every week and many items sell out each week-end so it is well worth dropping in often to see what bargains are in store.  By the way, the prices shown on the tags INCLUDE taxes.

The Collingwood location is run by Rhonda’s daughter: 25 year old Alyssa Kirk who seems to have a firm hand on the wheel of the new shop. On the day I visited, you could find everything from a high-end shower fixture to carpets, draperies and furniture at prices 50% or more below regular Wayfair prices.

If you are looking to furnish your home or chalet, this is a must stop shop.  Details and well as weekly specials and giveaways can be found on their Facebook page.
