What’s the deal with The Big Blue “W”?

Posted by Sherry Rioux on October 9, 2017

Do you know what it means when you see a Blue “W” on the door or window of various establishments in the Collingwood, Clearview, Wasaga Beach, Blue Mountains and Meaford areas?2017-08-15_13-52-51

It means you are able to get tap water there, with no charge. It is a really amazing global concept, and the website for tells us that,

“Wherever you are in the world, you won’t have to pay for a drink of water when you are thirsty.

The Blue W is a unique community-based program dedicated to promoting municipal tap water as a healthy, easily accessible alternative to purchasing bottled drinks. We provide mapped details on where to find clean, free, public and commercial sources to fill your reusable bottle without compelling you to make additional purchases – just look for the Blue W decal in participating shop and restaurant windows.”

Visit their website anytime to search their map for other participants the world over!

Our brokerage, remax big wRE/MAX four seasons realty limited, at 67 First Street in Collingwood, is proud to be a participant in this important program.
