Moving from Saskatoon to Collingwood – It’s a Small World
Last week, I had a rather fascinating experience with how small our world really is. If you look down the right side of this blog, you’ll see a section called Canadian Real Estate Alliance. It is a collection of perhaps the most proliferous or well known Canadian real estate bloggers. It was started by Norm Fisher, who is a mega-producing agent in Saskatoon which incidentally, is the hottest real estate market in Canada. So, over the last year, I have gotten to know him a little through our blogs and our emails back and forth.
Last week, I met some people who will be relocating here from Saskatoon this summer. They came on a home buying trip and ended up putting an offer in on a house that was accepted conditionally upon them selling their home in Saskatoon. I mentioned I knew a successful REALTOR® there and low and behold, they had already had Norm in to evaluate their home and agreed that he would be the right listing agent for them. Pretty strange to be sitting in Collingwood talking about a mutual acquaintance in a big city in another province. What are the odds?
Oh yeah, another thing. The home inspector who came to do their inspection? Yup, from Saskatoon. Lived for 22 years right around the corner from these folks home.
