The Curly Willow Eatery
There’s a unique and delightful little eatery on Collingwood’s main street that is easy to miss as it is tucked into the back of a store.
The Curly Willow Eatery has been open for less than a year and is already a local favourite. Found inside the Rustic Charm gift store at 27 Hurontario St (opposite Loblaw), this tiny, 16 seat eatery is open for lunch and afternoon tea. The setting is immaculately clean, quaint and comfortable.
The restaurant is owned by Linda and Mike Sloan who came from the Niagara region where they also had a successful restaurant. Linda is the creative chef while Mike looks after the front of house and both do their jobs exceptionally well. I enjoy Mike’s wit but it is his focus on outstanding customer service that is especially noteworthy.
The Curly Willow has a limited but excellent menu featured daily on their chalkboard and often includes things like their in-demand, lobster grilled cheese, fresh salads with local fruits, homemade soups and quiches, chicken sliders and more. Desserts are delightful and portioned in small sizes to justify a little treat. Many of their ingredients are locally sourced and they also offer organic, GF and lactose-free meals.
If you haven’t made it by yet, I strongly encourage you to visit but be aware, you may need to wait for a seat. You can learn more reading the reviews on Trip Advisor or by visiting the Curly Willow Facebook page.
Lovely place! It is so good of you to review local businesses. It speaks to your character and how much you love your community, and your profession. Oh, and lovely pictures!
