We’ll Sell Your Condo AND Do Your Dishes
It’s Chris here, blogging to you from beautiful downtown Collingwood. We had a funny incident yesterday, that we just had to share with you!
AND NOW, IN THE CATEGORY OF ‘I THOUGHT I’D HEARD IT ALL’
Typically, when we book showings, we are told things like:
turn the lights off when you leave
don’t let Mitzy the Talking Cat out
leave a business card
close the curtains
We, as professional real estate salespeople take all of these instruction in stride, why, for granted even! Until yesterday.
Yesterday, while I was booking some showings, I heard something I hadn’t heard before. While I was receiving a confirmation and was told to leave a card, the receptionist made another request. She said, giggling, “…and please turn on the dishwasher before you leave.” Now, typically, whilst showing property, I don’t make any dishes, let alone enough to warrant turning on the dishwasher. (Had these sellers heard I love to eat???) So, of course, I burst into peals of laughter, and then asked, “are you SERIOUS?” She was. Apparently the Sellers realized that they’d loaded it up, but had forgotten to turn it on before they left for home last weekend. Of course, we’re glad to oblige…I’m just glad we didn’t have to put dinner on or something silly like that!
