I love the name of this local business.  Wine Works.

Celebrating?  Wine Works.  Having a party?  Wine WorksEntertaining?  Wine Works.  Looking for corporate gifts?  Wine Works.

Full disclosure:  Wine Works  is the name of a local business established in Collingwood for 22 years and it’s owned by the most amazing man I’ve ever met;  my husband John.  And… I thought of the name.  How cool is that?  (Of course he still insists he thought of it but he’s wrong.)

Wine Works is a ferment-on-premises where people come in to make their own wines and beers.  The juices are sourced from Vineyards around the world and trust me, this is not your Dad’s basement wine!  The difference between John’s wine and one you buy commercially has to do with the process of making it.  At Wine Works, you select your wines, begin the process and then wait 4-6 weeks while John performs his magic.  Then you come back to bottle and then take it home to age.  John says “trunk-aging,” which is how long it takes you to get home, is not really a good idea.
There are zillions of wines to choose from including specialty wines and coolers too.  Aside from the Pinot Grigio, one of my favourites in the summer is the Mojito; a wine based cocktail that makes me think of Cuba and beaches.  In the winter, I cannot resist the Orange Chocolate Port which always sells out fast.

If you’re planning a move, why not get a batch of wine starting now in anticipation of the housewarming party?  The price is right – a kit makes 30 bottles of wine which works out to as little as $3.85 a bottle!  The wine is fantastic and that’s why Wine Works has been a successful Collingwood business since 1990.  Drop in and let John know I sent you.  I can always use a few extra brownie points with him.
