This Place Has One of The Best Cups of Coffee in Blue Mountain
If you are looking for a great cup of coffee in the Collingwood-Blue Mountain area, you have lots of great options and one of them most certainly is the Shale Rock Coffee House. This little gem is located just about halfway between Collingwood and Thornbury directly opposite Georgian Bay in a plaza on Highway 26 near Northwinds Beach. It’s also conveniently located along the Georgian Trail in case you are out for a stroll or ride and in need of some refreshment.
I love the interior design which is a mix of rustic elegance and artistic excellence as they say on their website. Polished concrete floors, an indoor tree, natural wood elements and the funkiest coffee machine around all really work to create a comfortable ambiance. Every single time I go in, the customer service is outstanding and the coffee!!! It’s to live for indeed.
In addition to a full menu from coffee and tea to cold refreshments, they also carry sandwiches, snacks and a few local products to go. The coffee is organic, fair-trade and there is deliciousness in every cup. Shale Rock is open 7 days a week until 4 p.m. Next time you are in the area, drop in or even make a special trip out to enjoy a little break in your day. I’m sure you’ll love it and tell them Marg sent you!
Looks like DOM in collingwood/blue mountain is longer than before? Rare houses were sold in past period? What do you think? The price is not too bad, but it is difficult to sell now?
Hi Kim. The days on market in our area have fluctuated all year. In January, it was an average of 71 days, in May it was 36 days, it October it’s at 50 days. It is very dependent on the type of property, the location, the pricing and many other factors before being able to answer if this is the optimal time to sell. The market continues to be strong here. Feel free please to privately email me if you would like to discuss a particular property.
